"NOVENA" is the second The Child's album, released by brazilian label Exhaust Valve Records (BA). Thanks to: Marcelo França.
A novena (from Latin: novem, "nine") is an ancient tradition of devotional praying in Christianity, consisting of private or public prayers repeated for nine successive days or weeks. During a novena, the devotees make petitions, implore favors, or obtain graces by worshiping Jesus Christ, and asking for intercessions of the Virgin Mary or the saints of the faith.
This tradition began between the Ascension of Jesus Christ to Heaven and the descent of the Holy Spirit when nine days passed. The number 9 also has a special meaning in Catholic worship, because it is equal to the square of 3, number considered perfect because it is related to the Holy Trinity.

Uma novena (do latim: novem, "nove") é uma antiga tradição de oração devocional no cristianismo, consistindo em orações privadas ou públicas repetidas por nove dias ou semanas sucessivos. Durante uma novena, os devotos fazem petições, imploram favores ou ganham graças ao adorar a Jesus Cristo e pedindo intercessões da Virgem Maria ou de santos.
Essa tradição começou entre a Ascensão de Jesus Cristo ao Céu e a descida do Espírito Santo, quando passaram-se nove dias. O número 9 possui ainda um significado especial no culto Católico, por ser igual ao quadrado de 3, número esse considerado perfeito por estar relacionado à Santíssima Trindade.
